BELL CONSTRUCTION OFFERS SOME GREEN TO COOL SPRINGS
Bell recently completed construction on One Greenway Centre in Franklin, Tenn. This sustainable office building is a Crescent Resources project and is located adjacent to the Corporate Centre Office Park in Cool Springs.
LEED commissioning is currently underway for One Greenway Centre, with the final LEED submittal expected to occur soon. Pending confirmation and acceptance from USGBC of the final LEED submittal, LEED certification can be expected sometime later this year. Elements of LEED that have been incorporated into the project have significantly impacted the final project in a great way, and they include:
• 75% of all construction waste materials were recycled
• 50% of all wood materials are FSC certified
• 20% of all building materials were bought and fabricated regionally
• 79% reduction in landscaping water consumption
The following are key LEED elements that were provided in the project:
• Low flow toilets, showers, and sinks reduce water consumption and waste
• Upgraded HVAC filtration systems
• HVAC - CO2 sensors monitoring air purity
• Low VOC paints, adhesives, sealers, and flooring materials
• No CFC HVAC refrigerants
• White TPO membrane roofing
• Fuel-efficient vehicle (FEV) parking and alternative public transportation options
